Microwave & High-Frequency Energy Applications for Sustainable Processing, Advanced Materials and Intelligent Systems

The 1st AIMHHA Annual Meeting 2026 & Global Workshop will bring together researchers, academicians, industry professionals, technology developers and students working in microwave, radio-frequency, high-frequency energy-based processing technologies and plasma applications.

The meeting will provide a platform for sharing recent advances, industrial applications, emerging technologies and opportunities for collaboration in sustainable processing, advanced materials and intelligent systems.

To broaden the meeting’s scientific and industrial relevance, AIMHHA will also feature keynote lectures and special sessions on established drying and processing technologies. These sessions will provide an important benchmark for emerging microwave and high-frequency processes and will help identify opportunities for hybrid systems, process intensification, scale-up and future technology adoption.

Organized by the Association of Industrial Microwave Heating & High-Frequency Applications (AIMHHA), India, the Annual Meeting will feature distinguished keynote and invited speakers from India and abroad.

Focus & Scope

The programme will highlight emerging developments in microwave, radio-frequency (RF), plasma and other high-frequency energy applications, with particular emphasis on technologies that can contribute to sustainable processing, energy efficiency, decarbonisation and the transition toward carbon neutrality.

The scope will include applications of microwave, RF, high-frequency and plasma technologies in chemistry and catalysis; food science and engineering; chemical and pharmaceutical processing; materials processing and metallurgy; advanced materials; as well as medical, biological and environmental applications.

Key engineering and industrial aspects will encompass microwave and RF equipment design and scale-up; measurement and instrumentation; modelling, simulation and system design; artificial intelligence and intelligent process control.

Emphasis will also be placed on established and advanced processing technologies—including drying, thermal processing, extraction, supercritical fluid processing, preservation and food-safety technologies—with particular attention to their comparison with, or integration with, microwave, RF, plasma and other emerging systems for the development of more efficient hybrid processes.

The meeting will promote discussion on the translation of laboratory-scale innovations into reliable, energy-efficient and commercially viable industrial systems, strengthening the pathway toward the 6th Global Congress on Microwave Energy Applications (6GCMEA 2028) in Mumbai, with its broader focus on advanced microwave and RF technologies for a more sustainable and carbon-neutral future.

Who Should Attend?

Researchers, faculty members, scientists, engineers, industry professionals, technology developers, equipment manufacturers, consultants, entrepreneurs, research scholars and students working in microwave, radio-frequency, high-frequency, plasma, infrared, UV and other emerging energy-based technologies, as well as established and advanced processing technologies including drying, thermal processing, extraction, preservation and food-safety applications, are encouraged to participate.
